Some of us are self-described bedding enthusiasts. We simply love our bed. We understand you. We've built a mattress with the finest component available—pure latex rubber. We don't quilt fiber in the top panel that will break down over time, leaving your mattress sagging. We could go on... but you really need to lie on this bed for yourself.
Pure LatexBliss is unwavering about what we always do and never do when we build a mattress. We always use Talalay latex for comfort layers and never use foam or memory foam. We never use fiber for comfort or quilted panels. And, although we offer mattresses with coils, we don't use industry-dominant open coil constructions, only foam encased coils.
Talalay latex is a rubber-based material that comes from the tropical hevea brasiliensis tree. Air is infused into the latex compound to create its open cell structure. It has been used for over fifty years to produce one of the finest materials ever used in a mattress.
By definition, latex is a rubber particle suspended in water. There are two types of Talalay latex: natural and all-natural.
Natural Talalay latex is a proprietary blend of natural and man-made that provides the optimal balance of pressure relief, support and durability. Wear-and-tear simulation tests show the superiority of this blend. Natural rubber latex is used for durability. It inhibits tearing since it can be stretched like a rubber band.
All-natural Talalay latex is referred to as 100% latex and is not a blend. Although it is more expensive and approximately 20% heavier, it is not as durable as the Natural Talalay latex formulation.
